Hi,
I just posted this on the wiki page:
"
WOW!
This tool is great!
I have now looked at over 40 Todo-List Web Tools, and NextAction is one of the best. The reason is, it is able to really manage Todo-Lists (it is done by contexts and subcontexts). Other tools which can also do this are usually paid services.
I would like to use Next Action productive because of these features:
- Subtasks/Subfolders
- free
- Due-Date
- repetition
- and one of the best one's: Offline usage!
These few points are missing in my opinion, which I need before I can use it productive:
- !time capturing: Tasks need X hours <-> I have done 30 minutes of it
- statistics: How many tasks are in which context done/open, graph over the tasks (date -> done/open tasks)
- show done tasks in list for specified time (it is nice to see that you also have done sth.)
- !priority for tasks
- order tasks depending on both: priority and due-date (and mark them by these criteria (color/size))
- customize interface (show only the colums you are interested in)
- automatic synchronization with other pc's (eg. upload json dump every minute and download it, if the file on the server is newer)
- better implementation of recurring tasks: automatically update due-date (seems to work sometimes)
- week overview in addition to month and day
"
I did not see the forum at first, but I thought this is the better place for my post.
I hoped I could propably add some of the missing functions, but the sourcecode (in junction tar.gz) completely misses documentation. I even do not know which file to run.
Do you have a CVS? Is the application completely written in JavaScript/HTML/CSS?
And last but not least: Why the hell are you so unpopular? I mean with the code you have here, you must be more successfull than google!
SQL in the browser, Framework for Google Gears - these things are incredible! Nobody has sth. comparable, you could be much more successful!
I think what you lack is a decent web20ish design and some promotion... but anyway, I would like to contribute and do not know how ![]()
Best regards,
